EmbeddedATX Motherboard with Multiple
Display

Advantech has introduced a distinct industrial motherboard to the embedded market.

Advantech has introduced a distinct industrial motherboard to the embedded market AIMB-330, is an EmbeddedATX low profile form factor motherboard specifically designed with "everything" onboard that is able to offer multiple independent display panel configurations, I/O, and expansion possibilities

It is an ideal M/B form factor for embedded applications such as: Point Of Sale (POS), kiosks, gaming machines, and other applications that require low profile, low-cost solutions.

EmbeddedATX is compatible with existing AIMB series rear I/O panel layout, and has the same dimensions and mounting hole locations as the MicroATX form factor, ensuring compatibility with existing specifications for reduced investments.

AIMB-330 supports socket 370 Intel Celeron and Pentium III processors up to 1.2 GHz and 1.26 GHz respectively.

AIMB-330 has been specifically designed with flexible dual panel support and I/O options in mind.

Different dual panel combinations are supported including: CRT+TTL, CRT+DVI, LVDS+LVDS, TTL+LVDS, CRT+LVDS, TTL+DVI and DVI+LVDS.

The onboard VIA CLE 266 chipset combines a fully integrated 2D, 3D graphic processing unit with an efficient DDR memory controller to enable high quality digital video streaming, independent dual display, and smooth DVD playback.

Up to 2Gb of DDR 266 SDRAM memory is available through 2 DIMM sockets and the type II CompactFlash connector can provide additional memory or OS support for XPE, CE.NET or Linux.

AIMB-330 offers an array of I/O options.

Six "high-speed" USB 2.0, plus two IEEE1394 ports and connectors provides plenty of high bandwidth throughputs.

MiniPCI I/O modules can be utilized for Bluetooth, Modem, and Wi-Fi LAN capabilities.

The Type I, II, III, 32bit PCMCIA Cardbus connector provides additional expansion potential, typically for telecom applications, while 6 COM ports maximize device connection.

High-speed networking is also available, with onboard RTL 8139DL 10/100Base-T Fast Ethernet port and additional optional Gigabit port.

The AIMB-330s' low profile and backwardly compatible form factor allows system integrators to upgrade existing solutions quickly, thereby protecting existing investments whilst reaching the marketplace faster.

AIMB-330 is available immediately. Request a free brochure from Advantech (UK) ...
