Advantech announces its newest System On Module (SOM), SOM-5780, an embedded PCI Express reference board that fully complies with the PCI Express base specification revision 1.0a.SOM-5780 uses Advantech's own SOM-ETXexpress (a subset of COM EXPRESS) interface, an open PICMG standard As well as offering PCI Express support, SOM-5780 uses the Intel Pentium M processor that provides high performance and low power computing on a baseboard design of customer-specific application requirements
