Rope access is safe option for working at height
Since its introduction some 25 years ago, industrial rope access has firmly established itself as one of the most popular - and safest - approaches to working at height.
His career in the access industry spans close to fifteen years, during which he has worked as contracts manager, sales director and safety projects engineer for some of the UK's leading access companies.
Having worked in the access industry for 18 years, Ian Rennie also brings a wealth of experience to his role as testing and maintenance operations manager.
Since starting out as a rope access technician, during which time he worked on the likes of the Manchester Arena and the QE2 bridge, he has progressed to work as a project manager and manager of safety installations for two industry-leading names.
In addition, Ian was an IRATA assessor for its training programme from its conception in 1990 through until 2003.
"Both Rikki and Ian were looking for new challenges and were eager to join a young and developing company that would provide them with a chance to make their mark on its continued growth and success," continues Stuart.
"I have every confidence that they will both play a major role in our on-going development and future successes".
The Access Group has also appointed John Earnshaw as project manager for its facade access division.
Taking responsibility for the design, procurement, installation and commission of facade access systems nationwide, John had spent the last two years working in the Middle East for the Qatar national oil company.
