An ergonomically designed manual cable tie tool ensures reliability and durability by providing easy access for the tie into the tool and easy and accurate setting of tension.

The Fastener Division of Avery Dennison announced they are introducing an ergonomically designed Manual Cable Tie Tool.

The 12001-0, Manual Cable Tie Tool will replace their current 08480-0 tool starting November 15, 2005.

The 12001-0 offers customers the very latest in ergonomic technology and reliability.

"We have implemented a number of design features, both to internal and external components of this tool, that will improve operator efficiency while withstanding the rigours of daily use in high production environment" stated Jay Simard, World Wide Business Development manager.

The tool was developed with customer input on the features and the importance of those features was considered for both the operator and the purchasers of the tools.

A strategic partner, who focuses on ergonomic design, developed the overall ergonomic feel of the tool including shape of the body and length of trigger stroke.

The tool ensures reliability and durability by providing easy access for the tie into the tool, easy and accurate setting of tension and the hardening the internal parts.

In addition, modifications to the geometry of the nose of the tool ensure that cable ties are always cut off cleanly and flush to the head of the tie, eliminating sharp edges.

The result is a cable tie tool that will consistently bundle wires while reducing operator fatigue.

"Our 12001-0 offers customers a great value proposition," Simard continued, "by providing durability, reliability and comfort at a competitive price.".
