"Avantis has formed on-going strategic relationships with a number of major UK blue chip manufacturers of building products.
With them we are facilitating the development of new product ranges, from concept to supply chain management, in a very secure and cost-effective environment," explained Bromley.
"What makes Avantis different is our complete control over our own Asia-based manufacturing facilities - with the associated benefits of lower manufacturing costs - while at all times retaining overall management and quality control from the UK," he added.
Specialising in precision plastics injection moulding, assembly and extrusion operations, Avantis manufactures a range of products to ISO 9001 quality standards.
Its clients operate in a variety of industries, including building products, automotive, electrical components and domestic appliances.
In 2007, further expansion plans include an additional 45,000ft2 facility to increase capacity for PVC-based materials manufacturing in response to rising demand from UK-based customers for a much more affordable route to new product development and manufacture.
Steve Pollard, Avantis Plastics Division commercial director, commented: "Given the initial costs of R and D, design and tooling, companies are looking to realise the full potential of their projects more cost-effectively, but with the reassurance of dealing with a UK management team." He said: "Clients can select any aspect of our package, whether it's just R and D, tool design and manufacture or the full manufacturing and shipping service, so they can adjust the costs to suit their budget.
We don't believe there is any other UK company offering this type of facility.".
