Skills centre for automotive testing training
AVL has created a skills centre to promote and elevate customer and staff skills in the use of test equipment and instrumentation for engine and vehicle development.
The restructured skills centre at AVL List in Graz offers training opportunities within the automotive industry.
Since the beginning of this year, a comprehensive range of services has been on offer, in an optimised and complete solution with significantly global orientation and a substantially extended portfolio, all dedicated to developing the qualification level of customers and staff alike in order to promote and elevate their skills in the use of test equipment and instrumentation for engine and vehicle development.
Until now, AVL's "Technical Training" group handled training.
The "AVL Skills centre" has been built on this solid foundation, and was launched at the beginning of this year.
One of the significant innovations here is the strong global orientation, in that professional training is offered by certified staff, at a high level with consistent methods and equipment, not only in Graz but also at all of the AVL affiliates' Skills centres worldwide.
The original portfolio of offerings has been extended so as to reach beyond the proven classic "Product Training" to include "Applications Training" and "Skills Assessment".
Here particular attention is paid to establishing the state of knowledge of the customer or member of staff in order to tailor their training precisely and individually and deliver according to requirements through coordination between the various specialist areas of AVL.
The classic training methods have been extended to include e-learning: introductory courses on a wide variety of topics are available on the Internet.
