A new demountable flowcell from AstraNet Systems provides a low-cost method for in-line and on-line UV/VIS/NIR measurements in monitoring and process control systems.

A new demountable flowcell from AstraNet Systems provides a low-cost method for in-line and on-line UV/VIS/NIR measurements in monitoring and process control systems AstraNet MD, Mike Mills, says: 'This is the lowest cost, demountable flowcell available with a range of pathlengths

It interfaces easily with programmable logic control (plc) systems, and there are cost and environmental benefits.

Wastage of final products can be reduced through improved control of manufacturing processes and adherence to permitted discharge limits is facilitated.' Forming part of AstraNet's effluent monitoring and process control systems, the flowcell connects to the StellarNet range of fibre optic coupled spectrometers simply via AMA 905 screw connectors.

Being low maintenance and made from inert materials to withstand aggressive chemicals, it has many applications in the factory, field and laboratory.
