Manufacturer of multi-cavity plastics injection mould tools has had to expand its workforce to cope with the continued growth of its business.

Amtek Precision Engineers, designer and manufacturer of high volume, multi-cavity injection moulds for the plastics industry, said that the end of 2007 saw the company add five new staff members to cope with the continued growth of its business In spite of a volatile year for the manufacturing industry at large, Amtek Precision Engineers has continued to flourish and has made five appointments across machinery operation, administration and sales and marketing

To cope with increased customer demand, we've been joined by CNC machinists Dean Upton, Dave Simmonds and William Neil.

Amtek has also appointed Jo Zilhka responsible for the administration and running of the shop-floor at large.

December also saw the appointment of Anna Rawles as sales and marketing manager.

She will collaborate with founder and managing director, Mike Jones, to manage the sales and marketing function of the company, helping secure and manage its growth over the coming years.

Reflecting on these key staff appointments, Jones said: "Our commitment to continuing to refine and improve upon our core business offering, the design and manufacture of the highest quality plastics injection moulds in the marketplace means we have continued to secure business from past customers whilst attracting new customers looking for the specialist tooling we provide.

We are growing steadily, continuing to attract quality staff to our team and feeling very positive about the future.

We hope to secure larger premises in the near future.".
