Embedded SBC designed for in-vehicle infotainment
Axiomtek has launched the first SBC based on the new Intel Embedded Compact Extended form factor SBC.
The capacity will be doubled as long as customers utilize 300GB Serial ATA hard drives.
In addition, it can be built with software RAID function by any storage OS.
Manufacturers, system integrators and software developers are able to select this most appropriate platform for their systems based on bandwidth, video, Ethernet communications and audio requirements.
"The embedded computer platform fulfills high performance system configuration demands and demonstrates Axiomtek's continuing commitment to meet customer requirements in network applications," said Philip Wei, product manager, Industrial Computer and Network Appliance Division, Axiomtek Co .
"With the Intel Pentium M processor 760, Axiomtek can deliver a high performance, low power platform with integrated graphics which is an excellent combination for the network video streaming and network security market segment." The Mobile Intel 915GM Express chipset supports PCI Express bus architecture, a highly scalable general purpose I/O for the latest industry peripherals.
The LAN configuration has two Gigabit Ethernet ports in default which through one advanced PCI Express interface accordingly.
The embedded board supports fail-over, load sharing and load balancing functions for critical network environment.
Moreover the Mobile Intel 915GM Express chipset integrates graphics function and supports dual channel LVDS for various embedded applications.
The SBC8A808 makes a breakthrough for the bottleneck of online data-intensive I/O usage including sharing and transaction.
It designed for your network applications such as I/O bandwidth controller, Level 7 security appliance, load balancing with flying colours.
In addition, Axiomtek offers barebone customisation, ID design and Embedded OS programming service.
Axiomtek will endeavor continually to develop series platforms including embedded SBCs, compact barebones, and slim rackmount server, toward Network Appliances.
The I/O features include CompactFlashTM, one RS-232 and one RS-232/422/485, Audio, S-Video connector for TV out, one FDD, one parallel, VGA connector, and 4 USB 2.0 ports.
Obviously it is not only a network-intensive platform, but a multiple I/O features SBC.
The SBC8A808 will be available in the end of October, 2005.
