New Fanless Embedded System

High performance, low power embedded system meets a wide range of environments and heavy-duty industrial fields without high frequency maintenance efforts.

Axiomtek, an Associate Member of the Intel Communications Alliance (ICA), a community of communications and embedded developers and solution providers, is pleased to launch a new fanless embedded system, the eBOX638-FL, the new addition to the growing Pentium M family line of eBOX products.

This fanless full-function computer offers excellent graphical performance and is suitable for Industrial Automation and excellent AOI/DVR/Media Display Devices.

Available in two configurations using either a low voltage Intel Pentium M 1.4 GHz or ultra low voltage Intel Celeron M 600 MHz processor, Axiomtek has designed this embedded system with a unique mechanical design for optimal thermal use.

The eBOX638-FL is a fanless compact computer which provides 2 PCI-X (64 bit) expansion slots.

Leveraging off the core strengths of Axiomtek's other embedded systems, the eBOX638-FL offers high performance with low power requirements, a wide choice of I/O connectors, 3 COM ports, 4 USB 2.0 ports, Audio, LAN, 2.5-inch hard disk drive support and a 100 watt 24V DC-in power supply.

The Watchdog Timer function will automatically reset the eBOX638-FL and send the error message to specified users if required, which reduces the need for maintenance.

The excellent graphics are powered by an Intel 855GME/852GM chipset with a maximum 64MB graphic memory.

With a unique anti-vibration mechanism design (2Grms with CompactFlash, 0.5Grms with HDD) and unique system thermal solution (operation temperature from -10C to 50C with wide range temperature HDD), the eBox can work in critical environments with internal hard disks to meet a wide array of industrial applications in the market.

Additionally, the platform can be bundled with Axiomtek's embedded OS solutions (Microsoft Windows and Embedded Linux family-based products).
