Data transfer rates in excess of 1100MB/s are possible with the latest family of iStor inAbled Ai-ProSAS iSCSI storage solutions from Axstor.

Axstor has announced the family of iStor inAbled Ai-ProSAS iSCSI storage solutions, which offer data transfer rates well in excess of 1100MB/s - the industry's leading performance to date All Ai-ProSAS systems support both high-performance SAS and SATA drives, and are designed to meet the demands of I/O-intensive applications such as Microsoft SQL and Microsoft Exchange servers

The Ai-ProSAS family also offers an ideal SAN storage solution for virtualized environments such as VMware.

The family starts from as little as GBP6,839 for a 2TB system, and scales to 128TB.

The systems are supplied in a 12-bay chassis, and can support up to 128 drives through the use of AxStor high-performance expanders, enabling a single system to provide up to 128TB of storage.

AxStor Ai-ProSAS systems can be configured with either high-performance SAS or SATA drives, allowing users to select the best disk technology for their requirements, whether they need high random-access performance, or low cost-per-Gigabyte.

The family offers a choice of either a single 10GB or eight 1GB Ethernet iSCSI ports.

The Ai-ProSAS family is iStor inAbled, ensuring outstanding performance, and enabling industry-leading data transfer bandwidth.

With a performance of more than 80,000 IOPs and a data transfer rate of well in excess of 1100MB/s, the family sets a new benchmark in iSCSI performance, and out-performs typical 4Gbps Fibre Channel systems.

For even greater reliability and performance, systems can be configured with a second controller, providing fault tolerance with a true active-active architecture.

"The iStor engine offers stunning performance that drives the performance of the Ai-ProSAS systems," said Alan Shepherd, Managing Director of AxStor.

"Our partnership is an essential factor in AxStor's success, as their leading-edge technology allows us to tailor systems for customers that demand high performance, huge capacity or reduced costs.".
