Stretch Wrapper Gives Better Finish And Quality

When John Stott, managing director of Eurocup visited the Logistics Link exhibition at Sandown (UK), his mission was to track down the details of three companies, including Aetna UK, who supplied stretch wrappers.
High on his list of 'must haves' was the need to find a company who built its own machines, not just acted as agents for others.
The project was then passed to Eurocup's general manager, Peter Giles who said.
"Although I received brochures from all the companies I approached, Aetna UK was the first company to respond and to offer a demonstration model so we could trial it for ourselves before purchase, which gained it an immediate advantage.
Originally we wanted a reconditioned machine, but Aetna's engineer, Colin Ramskill made the valid comment that we may be taking on other people's problems, so it made commercial and financial sense to buy a new machine." The catalyst for the change was that Eurocup were discontinuing the use of its company transport.
Historically, it hand-wrapped pallets, but the new step meant it needed a better finish and more consistent quality of product wrap.
Another important point was that the safety of the company's operators was paramount and so the company needed to purchase a stretch wrapper that also conformed with the stringent Health and Safety regulations.
Aetna's Jolly stretch wrapper was specified.
It has a 2.4 metre mast and turntable for loads up to two tonnes and the capability to use either standard or pre-stretch film, claimed Aetna.
Peter Giles is more than satisfied with the continuing service from Aetna and said.
"Colin did a great initial selling job and this has been followed by excellent after sales service.
We are delighted with the machine's performance and impressed with its build quality." He added.
"Because our products are very light we need to use pre-stretched film to get the film tight as a standard film would tend to pull the top boxes and Colin has introduced us to an independent film supplier who has quoted a good price.
Everything Aetna promised has been delivered and I don't think you can ask more than that!".
