In 1997 the Modelo Mexico Brewery, (which produces Corona beer), decided to re-organise and modernise its export production lines.

One of their main requirements was to update a number of outdated end-of-line pallet wrapping machines, which were beginning to pose serious health and safety problems.

Their primary need was to significantly increase production speeds and at the same time reduce production costs.

Their existing rotating ring wrapping machines were costing increasingly more to maintain and were only achieving 90 per cent efficiency.

Modelo set out to find a manufacturer of high-speed pallet stretch wrappers who would be able to guarantee production peaks of 100 pallets per hour with 99 per cent efficiency, whilst at the same time reducing overall operating and maintenance costs.

The Robopac Sistemi Genesis fitted the bill perfectly, according to Aetna.

The machine's rotating ring function, without slip rings, means that machine maintenance costs are significantly lower and safety implications are also reduced.

So pleased is Modelo with the Genesis that today, more than 60 machines have been installed at the Modelo Mexican Brewery.

The most recent machines are also fitted with the Mod ARC/3 automatic film reel change system, which further boost the machine's productivity and efficiency.
