Automatic pallet stretch wrappers upgraded
A comprehensive range of upgrades to existing users of Robopac automatic pallet stretch wrappers include the means of stopping loads from shifting on pallets.
Aetna UK have announced that they can now offer a comprehensive range of upgrades to existing customers of their Robopac automatic pallet stretch wrappers.
Aetna's managing director Mark Tucker said: "In a recent survey we asked our customers to identify the changing trends and developments in handling and distribution within their particular marketplace.
Armed with this information we worked together with Robopac in Italy to satisfy these needs, and the result is a new range of automatic pallet stretch wrapper upgrades." Amongst the new developments identified within the survey was the need to find a way to stop loads shifting off their pallets.
With the upgrade, automatic corner post applicators can be fitted and 'roping' the film around the base of the wooden pallet secures the loads.
This means that the loads can be more tightly wrapped without crushing the packaging.
A second requirement was to find a way to eliminate tails and prevent unwrapping, which causes particular problems in automated warehouses.
The upgrade fits a new style film cut, grip and tail welding unit, which stops the unwrapping, and provides a perfect finish every time.
Added Tucker: "Our survey also uncovered a real need for new operator training programs to help them understand how the machines functioned as well as advice on current health and safety legislation.
We have over 400 automatic stretch wrappers in the UK and Irish markets, and we can now offer a comprehensive programme to support all our customers.".
