Proud to be AETNA

An Aetna UK product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Apr 6, 2007

In a 30 year mature market which is consolidating and contracting steadily, the opportunities to install 'one off ' fully automatic pallet stretch wrappers is becoming more and more infrequent.

A majority of automatic systems are now supplied through the OEM`s who are installing complete new lines.

Fortunately many of the leading OEM`s recommend ROBOPAC or will listen to the advice and preference of their customer.

The ROBOPAC name and reputation dominates the UK Food, Drink and Logistics market segments and continues to offer the widest choice of automatic stretch wrapper with a model for every application and every budget.

The quality and reliability remains unequalled and deliveries are always reasonable.

Aetna says that recently they have been asked to supply complete pallet handling systems including palletisers and LGV's.

The trend in certain market sectors is towards complete automation, where the introduction of LGV's opens up the line layout to allow maximum passage across the production and warehouse areas, which in turn increases operating efficiency.

AETNA UK provides the EUROIMPIANTI range to enhance their supply.

The possibilities are now endless and some very innovative and creative line layouts have been achieved to bring about maximum automation.

There is already great interest in a revolutionary system that uses LGV`s for loading trailers and trucks.

The ROBOPAC semi auto systems still lead the way with unit sales increasing steadily, year on year.

In spite of the huge amount of competition, AETNA says the majority of units sold are still at the more sophisticated end of the range.

For the past 3 years The ROTOPLAT 506 has been the best selling semi-automatic pallet stretch wrapper in the UK.

It has become a particular favourite within the logistics market as more contracts are being outsourced, which has lead to an increase in the number of distribution centres being built.

AETNA believes the market has become more knowledgeable and discerning with the passing of the years.

Customers understand more about the costs of wrapping a pallet and are keen to take full advantage of cost savings in line with achieving the optimum pallet stability.

With the rapid growth of Logistics, bulk purchase and standardisation are now key words for the major Food and Drink Retailers and the increasingly specialised Warehouse facilities are very keen to choose and standardise on the best.

AETNA UK are very conscious of their responsibilities to their growing customer base and continue to focus on providing the highest level of technical support using their own regionally based engineers and advisors.

They believe their team, which has been in place for many years, is now the most experienced in the United Kingdom.

Aetna says that this is the area in which they have a serious advantage over their competitors and are confident that it is this level of service that has made them market leaders.

TOTAL EXHIBITION 2007 Aetna UK is looking forward to TOTAL 2007 at the NEC Birmingham.

In Hall 5, Stand No 5766, they will be exhibiting a number of exciting new additions to their comprehensive range of end of line semi and fully automatic pallet stretch wrapping machinery with equipment from Robopac, Dimac and Euroimpianti.

There will also be the chance to see Aetna's mobile battery operated pallet wrapper and the Euroimpianti Skilled 504 Robotic Palletiser which, in a working area of 360deg, can palletise up to 1600 boxes an hour and has a guaranteed positional accuracy to +/- 0.5mm.
