Anachem is addressing the containment of hazardous vapours and airborne contaminants, and providing containment for working with hazardous biological, pathological and chemical materials.

Anachem's Powder Handling Group is addressing the containment of hazardous vapours and airborne contaminants, and providing containment for working with hazardous biological, pathological and chemical materials In order to provide a more comprehensive service to its customers, Anachem has merged its Gas Detection and Powder Handling Group's to form the Anachem Health and Safety Group

The merging of the two divisions enables Anachem to offer a complete 'Detect and Protect' approach to health and safety, providing products and systems to ensure safe working environments, and specialising in technical, value-added distribution of instrumentation and consumables to industry.

Anachem is the exclusive European distributor of Flow Sciences containment systems - described as the world's best-engineered ventilation systems - and is said to be the UK's leading supplier to the scientific industry.

It is claimed that the Flow Sciences range of containment systems has been proven to out-perform all other similar containment technologies and has been adopted as the pharmaceutical industry standard in laboratories worldwide.

They are specifically designed to provide complete operator protection from airborne contaminants present in potent compounds, and the ergonomic design of the units allows ease of use and excellent visibility.

Each engineered unit is designed with special airfoils in front and innovative plenums in the rear to smooth out air flow and prevent turbulence inside the chamber.

This turbulence-free environment allows sensitive analytical balances to operate without fluctuation, with even light powder remaining undisturbed.

Included in the range of containment systems are vented balance safety enclosures, mobile isolator systems for use with high potency drugs, mobile fume cupboards for use with solvents, and innovative task-specific designs that can be tailored to the individual needs of the customer.

Flow Sciences' containment systems are available in a variety of widths, heights and venting options to suit individual applications.
