Actuate applications have enabled Suzuki to increase profitability by providing web-based operational reports to the field and corporate offices

Actuate, the leader in Business Intelligence, Performance Management and Reporting Applications, has announced that American Suzuki Motor Corporation, a distributor for Suzuki Motor Corporation, which is one of the world's leading designers and manufacturers of passenger cars, commercial vehicles, motorcycles, All Terrain Vehicles (ATVs), outboard motors and other products, has implemented Actuate's Enterprise Reporting Application Platform to centralise financial, inventory and sales data for the company's Powersport division of North America Suzuki's 16 centrally managed Actuate applications have enabled the company to increase profitability by providing web-based operational reports to the field and corporate offices, thereby improving dealer performance and inventory management

"We needed a way for our field and corporate offices to receive reports that consolidated inventory, financial and sales information," said Steve Chavez, credit manager at Suzuki.

"With Actuate's Enterprise Reporting applications, all of our team members now have an easy-to-use, web-based tool to access inventory management data and dealer performance".

"Now our management team can proactively address underperforming dealerships by shifting inventory or consulting with dealers on areas for improvement".

Suzuki's 16 Actuate applications are used by field representatives across all four North American sales regions, regional managers, executives and credit analysts in the Powersports division.

The type of reports produced by Actuate include: inventory management, financial analysis and dealer ranking.

Suzuki's field operations rely on Actuate inventory reports to understand dealer's floor plans, inventory types, inventory quantities and sales information.

Suzuki uses Actuate applications for financial analysis to measure profitability by combining sales with financial data.

This financial analysis enables regional managers to measure if they are meeting gross profit targets by dealership and product line.

Actuate Dealer Ranking reports allow dealers to compare their dealership on a district, regional and national basis for sales, profitability and other metrics.

"It is rewarding to see a leading company such as Suzuki strategically benefit from using an Enterprise Reporting application built using Actuate," said Pete Cittadini, chief executive officer and president of Actuate.

"This implementation underscores how integrating operational data and making it available in an easy-to-use, web-based application can directly affect a company's corporate performance".
