Bag-In-Box IBC For Frozen Fruit Juice Transport
Shipping frozen fruit juice has long been an issue for the food industry but now a 1,000 litre bag-in-box IBC for refrigerated transport has been launched by Arlington Packaging.
The Arlington Combo is a plastic bag-in-box IBC, used for the storage and transportation of liquids, pastes, medicines and dairy products.
To avoid cross-contamination between industries, the containers must be cleaned and disinfected, before being re-used.
The new system consists of a disinfectant and a dispenser.
The disinfectant, Tego 2001, is industry recognised and is effective against bacteria, yeast and fungi, killing organisms within five minutes of contact, said Arlington.
It is dispensed using the Dosatron, a water powered dosing system, which ensures accuracy in dosing the correct concentration of disinfectants.
After use, the Combos are brought in to Arlington's new high-hygiene clean room, and given a thorough cleaning, with all bacteria removed using the new system.
That ensures that the containers are free from contamination ready for their next journey.
Harry Fairbank, a director of Arlington Packaging commented: "With our cleaning facility and the new system from Johnson Diversey, we can offer a unique service for disinfecting the Combos.
They are now cleaned prior to dispatch to ensure every unit leaves with the highest possible standard of hygiene.".
