Bag-In-Box IBC For Frozen Fruit Juice Transport
Shipping frozen fruit juice has long been an issue for the food industry but now a 1,000 litre bag-in-box IBC for refrigerated transport has been launched by Arlington Packaging.
The new Combo is said to have all the advantages of the existing container - high hygiene, foldable for return efficiency and made from food approved plastic.
The enhancements are also claimed to address issues raised by users since the Combo's launch in 2003.
Inserting the liner bag and making it ready to fill will be easier with the dropside door, whilst opening the door reduces the height of the container's side, said Arlington.
That makes it easier for the user to access the liner, saving time and reducing wastage, whilst there is also the advantage of the sight glass, with five viewing holes, allowing the user is able to see the level of the container's contents, and when the liner bag needs refilling.
Harry Fairbank, managing director of Arlington Packaging, commented: "The Combo is the result of years of research in to a system that offered exceptional hygienic performance and reduced costs per trip compared to existing systems.
The new drop-side door and sight glass provide easier use and greater efficiency.
Both the Combo and the liner are available through us, as a complete liquids handling system." In addition to the Drop Side Combo, Arlington has also launched the Combolife 270, otherwise known as the 'Reefer' box.
It has been manufactured to carry 1,000 litres of liquid in a chilled shipping container or lorry.
It is said to be suitable for storing refrigerated produce, such as fruit juice and dairy products.
