Plastics and rubber equipment developments shown

An AZO, IHS Ingredient Handling Solutions product story
Edited by the Manufacturingtalk editorial team Sep 21, 2004

Latest technology in machinery and automated systems for the plastics and rubber industries include a heater/cooler mixer feeding system on two production lines with a moveable scale.

Latest technology from AZO, world leaders in machinery and automated systems for the plastics and rubber industries, will be revealed at the K2004 exhibition in Dusseldorf, 20-27 October.

Recent reports from the German Engineering Federation, the VDMA, report that order books are bulging for machine building companies in Germany, with demand from abroad up 18 percent on last year.

Following another successful year, AZO, established in 1949, will proudly display the following innovations at Stand C42, Hall 9: Fully automated mixer feeding systems for the PVC-dryblend-processing industry, the AZO Componenter system will demonstrate a heater/cooler mixer feeding system on two production lines with a moveable scale for minor ingredients.

Two conveyor scales with multi-port valves for major components, plus hopper receivers for middle and minor components, will convey the components from the intake at ground level into the system.

(In a complete system Big Bag discharge stations are integrated in the process).

The plant will be shown in operation, controlled by a high-tech process and visualization system.

* New - Contamination free container systems Using several different container types (Batchtainer, Mixtainer and Dositainer) a unique AZO display will demonstrate the automated, contamination-free preparation of batches e.g additive-compounds.

* New - Azodos for gravimetric, continuous dosing AZO exhibits a new product named Azodos for continuous, gravimetric dosing.

Designed for use in compounding, the system is equipped with comfortable control modules to enable optimised adjustment via a corresponding computer interface.

* New - DosiBox (dosing stations) with the DosiLogistic system An innovative new method revealed to the plastics industry for the very first time.

DosiBox enables the fully automated dosing of additives and minor ingredients - highly cost-effective per-ingredient.

Mixomat-scale: conveying, drying, dosing, weighing, mixing, colouring of high-quality plastics.

For high demand plastics processing the Mixomat system, displayed together with a conveyor scale and drying hopper, allows the feed and regrind of plastic processing machines from a master batch, with accurate precision and batch tracking capabilities.

Separation-free, self-adjusting conveying systems Innovative solutions for dryblend extruder feeding will be demonstrated.

One highlight will be a conveying system which can turn from conventional lean phase conveying to slow phase conveying.

In other words, the system can be adjusted to suit the product being conveyed.

ATEX Focus AZO's experts are on hand to answer questions and give full advice to the plastics processing industry.
