On-board software functions - accessed via a set of thumb-operated keys - allow temperature measurements with sensitivity of 0.1C.
Object emissivity, single and multiple point temperatures, isotherms, max/min and electronic zoom are all standard functions ensuring comprehensive probing for, and pinpointing of, potential thermal variations.

Hand-held thermal and visible imaging camera
Armstrong Optical of Northampton has announced the immediate availability of a new, low cost, addition to its range of thermal imaging and visible imaging camera systems.
Now, in order to make the MobIR M4 an even more flexible and useful measurement tool, Armstrong Optical has made available a range of accessories.
The standard lens on the MobIR M4 has a 25deg x 19deg field of view - the new 40mm lens will offer a 9deg x 6deg field of view thereby increasing the viewing range of the camera and allowing more distant objects to be measured more accurately.
The MobIR M4 has been designed for use in the field and has on-board storage capacity for several hundred thermal and visible images as well as voice annotation.
Now its built-in video output can be exploited with a battery powered video storage system that enables the capture and storage of up to 2hrs of full frame-rate live video in AVI format.
This feature means that events and systems can now be monitored and measured as they change with time.
For those users requiring even more live video storage a digital wireless communication system is available for the MobIR M4.
This belt-worn system allows easy transmission of live video signals to a base-station and being digital ensures no loss of data even at extended ranges.
