Baan, the leading enterprise application provider for industrial enterprises and part of Invensys plc, has announced an agreement with TWR Group that can help the speciality vehicle design and manufacturing organization further extend its Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) strategy Based on its comprehensive iBaan for PLM knowledge-driven approach, Baan will support TWR's drive to enhance its product lifecycle capabilities across the company's global supply network

By developing its PLM enterprise strategy, TWR can navigate product information within a complex, multi-dimensional, collaborative environment for enhanced communication - both externally with partners and suppliers and internally with TWR staff in different departments, locations and countries.

This additional PLM functionality can help TWR improve the flow of product information to both suppliers and clients.

The company sub-contracts a number of part design projects to its key suppliers and PLM can help address the requirement to enable the flow of CAD models, design and reference information to these suppliers in a managed environment.

A comprehensive PLM approach can also provide an automated and managed delivery tool to share engineering information and CAD models with TWR customers.
