Two extraordinarily accurate long-range time-of-flight laser sensors - one of which has an extremely long range of 250m - have Teach-mode programming.

Banner Engineering has introduced the extraordinarily accurate LT7 long-range time-of-flight laser sensors, available in two models: retroreflective and diffuse The retroreflective model has an extremely long range of 250m

The diffuse model features a range up to 10m for a white target, up to 7m for a gray target and up to 3m for a black target.

To eliminate cumbersome potentiometer adjustments, both models have Teach-mode programming using either integrated push-buttons or a serial interface.

A visible pilot laser makes accurate alignment fast and easy.

Key features include the following: * Multiple outputs.

* Discrete outputs for precision background suppression.

* Alarm outputs with on-board LCD display for easy troubleshooting.

* Ongoing LCD display of sensing distance in millimeters or hundredths of an inch.

* RS422- or SSI-compatible serial connection options.

* Excellent +/- 10mm linearity.

* Quick warmup to minimise drift.

For the retroreflective model: * Extremely long range, ideal for automated storage and retrieval applications.

* +/- 2mm resolution.

* Two discrete (PNP) and two alarm outputs.

For the diffuse model: * Dark-color performance, ideal for automotive applications.

* +/- 4mm resolution.

* Two discrete (PNP) and two alarm outputs, and 4-20mA analog output.
