Lasers offered at under $155 for precise sensing
Retroreflective laser sensors, at less than $155.00, feature an extremely small, tightly collimated 4mm laser sensing beam for precise sensing at ranges up to 18m.
"The only way to deliver a truly, user-friendly software platform in a native language is to make sure that 100% of the content a user will need to see and understand are presented accurately in their respective language," said Jeff Schmitz, Banner's Corporate Business Manager for Vision Sensors.
Schmitz also added that companies doing business across various languages and borders will appreciate the ability to configure inspections in English, then ship the sensor to its destination and have the preloaded inspections ready to be activated and employed in the user's native language.
The PresencePlus vision sensor software is intuitive, operates on Microsoft Windows operating systems, offers a common graphical interface across all Banner vision products and is considered to be the easiest-to-use on the market today.

Sensors beam through dusty/mist-laden environments
High-power sensors provide maximum excess gain (burn-through) for accurate reliable sensing in applications with heavy fog, dust and industrial process contamination.
Laser sensors detect small objects reliably
Laser sensors feature a mechanically adjustable sensing cutoff point that allows them to reliably detect extremely small objects with relatively low reflectivity such as verifying punched holes.
Regardless if the user has operated a PresencePlus Pro or the latest PresencePlus P4 vision sensor, the graphical user interface is consistent between products including all logical wizard-like setup procedures as well as commands, icons and buttons making the operation of any of the Banner vision sensors seamless and simple.
"Once you are familiar with one type of Banner PresencePlus vision sensor, you will be comfortable with all PresencePlus sensors because the user interface is the same," Schmitz added.
The Banner PresencePlus vision software is available on Banner's web site or a convenient CD for all sensor platforms.
Once installed on the host computer, changeover to any of the nine different languages is an easy mouse click.
Users with requirements to set up sensors in multiple geographic manufacturing locations or needing to accommodate multiple languages spoken in a single location will find the single installation beneficial.
Schmitz also said it is important to note that the PresencePlus vision software is only necessary during sensor set up and a PC is not required for sensor operation -and all of the PresencePlus sensors offer Live Video, which makes setup, changeovers and live process monitoring of inspections quick and easy.
The Banner Ez-screen system family is intended for point-of-operation machine guarding applications and other safeguarding applications, including area guarding when mounted horizontally and long-range perimeter guarding utilizing corner mirrors.
Ez-screen pairs are available in 14 mm and 30 mm resolution and 12 lengths from 150 mm to 1800 mm.
Ez-screen Grid and Point systems are also available offering single beam point, 2-, 3- or 4-beam grid protection.
A complete range of mounting brackets, stands and mirrors are available to facilitate virtually any conceivable mounting configuration.
Typical applications include small assembly equipment, pick-and-place machines, molding presses, packaging machinery, palletizers, roll formers, automated production equipment, robotic work cells, and power press applications.
The new Ez-screen is an economical solution and one of the lowest cost point-of-operation, non-contact safety systems available on the market today.
