Vision sensors offer colour spectrum
analysis
Banner Engineering has introduced two colour vision sensors: the two-piece PresencePlus Pro colour with separate DIN-mountable controller and the one-piece PresencePlus P4 colour OMNI.
Banner Engineering's PresencePlus colour vision sensors detect an infinite number of colour variations accurately - even in the most challenging colour inspection applications These colour vision sensors are available in two convenient packages: the two-piece PresencePlus Pro colour with separate DIN-mountable controller and the one-piece PresencePlus P4 colour OMNI

Low-cost vision sensor easily inspects for correct features regardless of product orientation or position in the sensor's field of view -eliminating expensive mechanical fixturing.
Vision sensor offers high speed error-proofing
Able to accurately sense and evaluate over 10,000 objects/minute, a vision sensor can validate the height and width of parts, location of labels or detect the edge of materials.
PresencePlus colour vision sensors are available starting at only $3,495.
"Users can easily program the sensor to detect a specific colour and unlimited colour variations in the camera's field of view," said Dan Holste, director for Banner vision sensors.
"The sensor can combine shape and colour data to identify minute variations, and it can also monitor colour consistency within the taught range of acceptable colour".

Low cost vision sensor has 1.3m pixel resolution
Vision sensor that uses a 1.3 megapixel imager makes highly detailed automated inspections possible, at about half the cost of comparable vision sensors, says the manufacturer.
Vision sensor captures minute details
Vision sensor that capture minute details of multiple features at ranges from a few inches to several feet, depending on the lens used, at a fraction of the cost of comparable vision sensors.
Holste adds, "The two housing platforms - along with the robust inspection tools and capabilities - provide an easy-to-use full-featured application solution for a wide range of industries and machinery".
Applications.
The Pro colour and P4 colour OMNI vision sensors inspect for the specific colour taught to the sensor with the colour Match tool.
The new sensors are appropriate for thousands of colour-sensitive applications in food and general packaging, pharmaceutical, electronic and automotive industries.
Examples include the following: * Candy and packaging inspection * Assembled-product colour inspection and verification * Error proofing of fuse installation in an automotive fuse box * Pharmaceutical blister pack inspection * Bottling cap and fill inspection The Pro features a compact camera with separate DIN-mountable controller.
Sealed Pro IP68-rated cameras are available for challenging industrial and washdown environments.
The one-piece P4 is available in both in-line and right-angle configurations.
In addition to the colour Match tool, all models include the powerful suite of gray scale tools - including Locate, Pattern Find and Count, Geometric Find and Count, Edge, Object, Blob and Average Gray Scale - for the most demanding inspections.
The Pro and P4 colour sensors have a 752 x 480 pixel resolution colour CMOS imager.
All models feature the PresencePlus universal software.
Several features of the Pro colour and P4 colour OMNI make it particularly easy to set up and operate: * Universal software with three-step point-and-click setup * Ethernet, serial and flexible discrete I/O in the same full-featured sensor * Direct connectivity to EtherNet/IP and ModbusTCP industrial networks * ActiveX utilities for exporting inspections, images and results * Live video display without a PC * Remote TEACH * Complete selection of lenses, lighting, brackets and accessories * 10 to 30V dc operation.
