The Christian Bauer has also developed over the years to include the manufacture of precision components in both standard and exotic metals.

The Christian Bauer company has long been renowned for the production of high-class jewellery using precious materials, but has also developed over the years to include the manufacture of precision components in both standard and exotic metals This is a family business that was established in 1880, with the introduction of spring element production in 1940 and precision parts from 1965

Manufacture takes place at Welzheim in Germany, with parts distributed in the UK through Bauer Springs .

The components produced are used across a wide spectrum of industry and include disc springs (with slotted variations), disc spring packs and wave springs.

Stamped parts can be produced to precision tolerances, and supplied to service a wide range of high volume production industries including the automobile, security and white goods trade, or wherever quality value-engineering is at a premium.

Custom made springs and Belleville fasteners to DIN6796, together with tongue faced flange, spring plates and combi screws are manufactured.

Spring clamps for flexible joints, including vehicle exhaust systems can also be supplied.

Products are manufactured to comply with ISO/TS 16949 and ISO 9001 as well as special customer certifications where required.

Production is under strict quality management supervision covering a wide range of performance and control including: Spring force measurements with automated data recording, Monitoring systems with integrated image processing, SPC, Raw material, product hardness, structure and surface audits, Durability tests.

The manufacturing technologies utilised within their plant include stamping, turning, hardening, precision grinding and surface processing.

The production equipment available includes: Mechanical and hydraulic stamping presses up to 800 tonnes, Turning up to 1000mm diameter, Hardening, both in-mould and in-flow, Precision grinding plus vibratory and centrifugal plants, Surface processing including phosphating, coating, brushing and de-burring.
