The reduced tendency for 'sticking' makes mould release easier and, in some cases, particularly beneficial.
For example, when injection moulding caps and closures for pharmaceutical packaging, no lubricant or release agent may be used.
In this case, threaded cores coated with Balinit extend the service interval of a typical 30-cavity tool from one week to over 8 months.
Reliable mould release and 10% shorter cycle times resulted in 20% higher productivity.
Also, thanks to its anti-adhesive properties, Balinit reduces the adhesion of the melt to screw tips, back-flow valves, nozzles and shut-off needles.
