Fork lift truck attachments improve safety

Materials handling will become even safer and easier to perform following the launch of telescopic forks and fork positioners.

Materials handling will become even safer and easier to perform following the launch of two new state-of-the-art products from B and B Attachments, the leading supplier of masts and forklift truck attachments.

The company has introduced Telescopic Forks and Fork Positioners, which are both manufactured by KAUP GmbH and Co.

KG, Europe's foremost producer of forklift attachments.

Previously Telescopic Forks were fitted on piggyback forklifts where the trucks own weight was an important factor.

Now, KAUP has responded to industry demand by launching Telescopic Forks for both counterbalance and reach trucks.

The ideal solution for double deep stacking in racks, the forks can also be extended from a basic length of 800 mm to 1200mm to pick up Euro pallets either lengthways or diagonally without projecting.

The newly developed KAUP Telescopic Forks are available for capacities up to 6 tonnes with a load centre of 600mm.

Built for smooth operation, all KAUP Telescopic Forks operate with two cylinders per fork to ensure synchronous movement.

This eliminates the need of a flow divider system to equalise the fork movement.

To compliment the use of KAUP's Reach Forks, B and B Attachments are also introducing them with Fork Positioners.

Traditionally Reach Forks are used for loading and unloading pallets from curtain sided vehicles or double deep racking systems.

The addition of Fork Positioners to Reach Forks allows many other handling solutions to be achieved.

KAUP's T 466 range of Fork Positioners allows the driver to accommodate a variety of pallet widths by altering the distance between the forks.

Used within the profile width of the truck, the Fork Positioners are simply operated by a hydraulic control lever in the cab.

Also available for use with standard forks, the T 466 attachments are especially suitable as carriers of Telescopic Forks.

Alternatively, B and B Attachments can also mount KAUP Reach Forks onto T411 model.

This enables the forks to open outside the width of the truck, making it possible to support wide loads whilst loading from the side of a vehicle.

B and B Attachments is certain that this new range of KAUP products will become indispensable to a wide range of industries for a cross section of applications.

They will enhance the standard range of KAUP Reach Forks and bespoke products currently available from B and B Attachments.
