Brookson - the UK's leading composite company service provider - is launching its services to the construction industry with the new brand Brookson CIS.

Brookson - the UK's leading composite company service provider - is launching its services to the construction industry with the new brand Brookson CIS To meet the requirements of contract construction workers, Brookson has created three specific solutions - Self Employed Limited Company, 'Cards in' Umbrella and Self Employed CIS4

Brookson was established more than ten years ago by 'contractors for contractors' and is committed to delivering the best value for money service while ensuring contractors are in safe hands when it comes to compliance with HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).

Brookson's recent approval from the HMRC of its processes and procedures, cemented Brookson's decision to extend its services to the construction industry.

Compliance is of now paramount importance with HMRC signalling a clear intention to tackle non-compliant service providers in this industry.

Compliance is a key concern for contractors and also for agencies and their end clients.

Brookson will continue to work with agencies to address the issues surrounding compliance to protect the interest of all stakeholders in the construction industry.

Martin Hesketh, managing director of Brookson said: "So far 2006 has been a very exciting and busy year for us, and the launch of the Brookson CIS service comes at a time of great change and anticipation in the construction industry.

"We have worked very hard to build a service offering that offers the best value for money and is uniquely compliant in the marketplace.

By launching Brookson CIS we'll be able to offer the construction industry the level of professional service and reassurance that have become synonymous with the Brookson name - we are really looking forward to integrating this new sector to our business." To ensure there is a model to suit all types of construction workers, Brookson has created three different options.

They are all compliant from both a HMRC and health and safety perspective, and there are no hidden costs for the contractors.

Solution one is Self Employed Limited Company, which offers all the tax advantages of being self employed with more cash, but less paperwork, whilst all responsibilities for tax, legal and compliance managed by Brookson.

The construction contractor will work through one of Brookson's limited companies, and will therefore not have the responsibilities of being a company director.

Brookson will also work with the contractor to prove employment status in time for the HMRC certificate scheme, which will be introduced in April 2007.

Solution two is 'Cards In' Umbrella which is open to contractors working as employees.

The contractor is paid subject to tax and national insurance, is paid legitimate expenses tax free and will benefit from a holiday pay scheme.

Solution three is Self Employed CIS4 which has been devised for contractors who hold a CIS4 Certificate.

They can sign up to Brookson CIS, who will manage their invoicing and salaries, while enjoying the peace of mind and benefits of being a Brookson member.

Benefits include professional indemnity cover, public liability cover, personal accident cover and an IR35 compliance certificate demonstrating that you comply with HMRC approved procedures and therefore fall outside IR35.

All of the solutions provided also include the following; personal accident cover, completion of year end tax returns, SMS texting service - notification of pay, CHAPS payment, professional indemnity cover of £1 million, public liability insurance of £2 million and employers liability of £25 million.
