Gas injection improves moulding process

A specialist locking device manufacturer has invested in technology from Cinpres Gas Injection to allow it to manufacture components faster, more cost effectively and with greater precision.

Sandhar Technologies of Gurgaon, India, manufactures car locking devices (including handles) and other components for the automotive industry.

Cinpres provides gas assisted injection moulding techniques and offers a range of technologies for cost reduction and quality improvement in the manufacture of plastic products and components.

'The latest offering from Cinpres is focused on weight saving, a key issue for the automotive industry, and allows us to optimise and stabilise quality and reliability,' said R Karan Malik, vice-president research and development, Sandhar Technologies.

Cinpres said that it also offers global support and can provide its customers with a 3D prototyping and analysis service, meaning that development costs and lead times are reduced, and components can be manufactured with greater accuracy and without fear of errors.
