Safety features include a specially designed cage to avert injury; low-level kick plates to prevent equipment being kicked off the platform; twin safety harness points, and a high meshed rear guard to avoid contact with the fork truck's moving parts.
All categories have a fail-safe device in case of mechanical failure.
Other features include positive behind heel locking to lock the platform to the truck forks; a backguard, gate and rails which are all of tubular construction and radiused in order to reduce risk; automatic locking, self-closing and latching gate locks, and a non-slip, self-draining floor.
The CageMaster 28 System also includes the supply and installation of controls that immobilise the tilt and sideshift functions as well as full operating instructions and a certificate of conformity.
A further option is to also immobilise the reach function on the narrow aisle reach truck.
Optional extras include swivel castors; tool tray; safety harness and lanyard, clipboard holder and fluorescent tube holder.
Working platform attachments must be safe, durable and correctly fitted to meet the new PM28 regulations.
