Since Biscor was bought by international plc Gamma Holding in January 2004, Biscor has been awaiting a move to more modern and practical premises Biscor manufactures, converts and markets PTFE (Teflon) coated and silicone rubber coated fabric for a wide variety of industries, as well as fabricating conveyor belts from the industrial process fabrics and fluorocarbon coated materials

A combination of traditional craftsmanship and high technology echo the skills and techniques employed by its fifty-strong team.

The two historic mill buildings (Cater Street and Peckover Street) in Little Germany which Biscor have vacated were full of character and evoked nostalgia for bygone days, but the practicality of having two divisions - fabrication and coating - split over two separate buildings had not been ideal.

Biscor had been situated in Little Germany since 1976, the time for progress and improved efficiency has arrived and from 14th November Biscor is trading from their new address - all under the same roof, with a total area of 2006m2.

Various building works have taken place at the Kingsmark Freeway premises prior to the move, modern and appropriate office space has been created for the administration, management and sales teams.

Significant changes to the factory unit are also underway, these are necessary to house specialist machinery and production requirements.

A new laboratory and engineering utility have been provided, which in turn will encourage innovative product development for Biscor's range of PTFE and silicone rubber coated fabrics and conveyor belts.

Visitors will be extremely grateful to know that the car parking and collection/delivery facilities are much improved at the new location - providing easy access to the motorway network for all suppliers and customers.

The specialist coatings division will be moving equipment and personnel over to Kingsmark Freeway during the next two months, expert assistance from various contractors is required for this complex task.

All factory facilities are expected to fully operational in the new year.
