Brauer Coley, manufacturer of die sets and associated components, has successfully been upgraded from its previous ISO 9002 accreditation to the new ISO 9001/2000 standard.

Solihull-based Brauer Coley, manufacturer of die sets and associated components, has successfully been upgraded from its previous ISO 9002 accreditation to the new ISO 9001/2000 standard Because the changes incorporated into the new ISO 9001/2000 standard were quite substantial companies were given time to fully implement them before applying for the upgraded accreditation

Alan Brown, Brauer Coley Technical Quality Manager, explains, "The new standard is much more customer-focussed, with a greater emphasis on customer feedback and continuous improvement." Brauer Coley had to pass a series of interim assessments, carried out by its awarding body, the BSI, during its transition to the new standard, before it was finally approved.

The effort, however, has all been very worthwhile, as Brown confirms, "Implementing the new standard has really helped us improve our service to customers - and that is what it is really all about.".
