Designed to boost productivity, a sheet metal rotary bender decreases forming tonnage by between 40%-80% and allows the bending of pre-painted metal without toolmarks.

Brauer Coley is delighted to announce the addition of IEM's Accu-BendT range to its extensive product offering Designed to boost productivity, the Accu-Bend decreases forming tonnage by between 40%-80%, allows bending of pre-painted metal without toolmarks, holds +/-0.5deg tolerances and can overbend up to 120deg

This innovative new product is the result of over twelve months of research and development, during which more than 30 different product samples were tested to determine the best performance against normal wear, galling conditions and long-term lubrication.

The winning component combination proved to be a proprietary heat treated rocker set into a solid bronze saddle with self-lubricating graphite wear plugs for smoother more maintenance-free operation.

Superior life and accuracy results from the hardened steel bending lobes that resist wear during repetitive part contact.

Rotary benders have been used in metal forming for over 20 years, in both the metal fabricating and stamping industries, and are today some of the most versatile and productive tools used in forming operations, being employed in a wide variety of manufacturing situations.

Traditionally, such tools have carried a high price tag, but the Accu-bend has been developed to provide high-volume performance with cost savings that make it affordable for limited production runs.

In addition to the standard range, compact benders designed to fit in tight places, have been developed, which are ideal for bending small tabs within a larger part.

These rotary benders can be manufactured to custom sizes if an off-the-shelf product does not already exist.
