Rotary bender decreases forming tonnage 40-80%
Designed to boost productivity, a sheet metal rotary bender decreases forming tonnage by between 40%-80% and allows the bending of pre-painted metal without toolmarks.
Toolroom Manager, Derek Baxter explains, "By far the majority of our work is for customers outside the business, I would say as much as 90%.
We specialise in work for the white goods/domestic appliance, automotive and electronics sectors and our customer list includes such names as: Baxi UK, Glen Dimplex Cooking, Futaba Tenneco UK." With a significant size business to run, and an eye on the profit and loss account, Baxter needs to select his suppliers with care, which is why he has been a customer of Brauer Coley for many years.
With the capacity to manufacture and test tooling of up to 3 tonnes (and as much as 5 tonnes in exceptional circumstances) Gilberts sometimes requires large die sets.
One of its recent purchases from Brauer Coley has been a fully machined die set of 1.5m x 1.2m used in press tooling for a domestic appliance project.
Quality is key to Gilbert?s engineering business, which is ISO9001:2000 accredited and which has built its reputation on maintaining the highest quality standards while providing a rapid response to market/product changes.
So confident is the company in the ability of Brauer Coley to provide the quality and accuracy that it specifies, that the die sets are not inspected on arrival, but simply built into the completed press tool.
Baxter confirms, "Brauer Coley is one of only a handful of companies in the UK that can supply the high quality that we are looking for at a competitive price.".
