UK compsites fabricator gains Nadcap approval
Compsites fabricator has become the first UK-mainland company to achieve Nadcap approval for composite pre-preg manufacture and metal-to-metal bonding to AS 7118.
In addition to providing a finishing resource for manufactured composite parts, the spray booth facility will also find application in line with Brookhouse's status as an FAA- and EASA- approved repair station.
The new 7m x 4m x 2.66m booth is built to the highest specification and offers a downdraft airflow of up to 24,000m3/hour to ensure the highest quality finish.
Even airflows during spraying quickly and efficiently remove any overspray while the downdraft system ensures that even temperatures are achieved in all parts of the booth during the baking phase.
This is the latest in a series of planned investments which are strengthening Brookhouse's position as the largest independent composites manufacturer in the UK.
The company offers the aerospace sector a dedicated design and manufacturing facility for composites tooling, as well as a capability for design, prototyping, manufacture, testing and finishing of complete composite components.
As a result, it can offer its global customers a global facility to take responsibility for complete parcels of composites' development and manufacture projects.
