Large CNC tube laser profiler to be
installed
A GBP 1.25 million large capacity laser profiling machine will process metal tubes up to 500mm diameter and 18.5m long for the the construction industry, railroads and shipyards.
The UK will soon to be home to a massive GBP 1.25 million tube processing machine Twelve container lorries will be needed to transport the component parts of the BLM Adige Jumbo Lasertube cutting centre to Tubes (UK) 's site at Warley in the West Midlands

BLM said that with conventional hydraulically-powered tube bending machines, set-ups can take up to 2h but an all-electric machine uses pre-set tooling to shorten down-times.
Once installed, the aptly-named Jumbo Lasertube will process round tube up to 500mm diameter and 18.5m in length.
This will be the fourth Jumbo Lasertube to be installed world-wide and the first to be installed in the UK.

It also supplies round, square and rectangular hollow sections to manufacturers of heavy-duty trucks, earthmoving equipment, agricultural machinery and machine tools.
