Bowers releases shop-floor proof comparator gauges
Bowers Metrology has brought out the Intex range of shop-floor proof comparator gauges.
Controlling this extremely large gauging inventory was proving a problem, until the recent purchase of two key pieces of equipment.
After investigating many alternatives, Graham Hodgkins, Quality Manager at the High Tech Worcester site purchased a Bowers Trimos THV calibration machine and linked it to Retriever calibration recall software.
Graham enthused "The relatively inexpensive THV allows us to quickly and accurately calibrate the majority of our shop-floor measuring instruments and at the press of a button send the machines findings to our new, easy to use Retriever software, instantly updating our gauge records." "The new system takes care of all of our gauge recalls, flagging-up all of instruments that need to be calibrated, in fact the combination of these two pieces of equipment has contributed enormously to the efficient running of our busy calibration department".
