Hardness tester achieves consistent, accurate test results on bulky specimens in the harshest of industrial conditions and has user-friendly, menu-driven control system.

The material testing operation of the Bowers Metrology Group, CV Instruments, has launched an advanced hardness bench-tester.

The Digital Rockwell CV-600BD provides a large working space to help accommodate bulky specimens.

The CV tester has been designed to achieve consistent, accurate test results in the harshest of industrial conditions or within companies' metallurgy departments, said Bowers.

Conforming to EN-ISO 6508 and ASTM E-18, the flexible CV-600BD is able to operate in all common, standard Rockwell scales, such as A,B,C,D,E,F,G,K,L,M,P,R and V.

It has a resolution 0.5 of a Rockwell unit and a choice of test loads of: 10kgf preload; 60, 100 and 150kgf total load.

The unit's many useful features are accessed via a user-friendly menu, whilst measured results are presented on a bright, easy to read LCD display.

Claimed by CV to be the most comprehensive digital Rockwell tester within its price range, the CV 600BD is delivered complete with a wide-rang of accessories, including a choice of indentors, anvils and test-blocks.

Demonstrations of this advanced new CV Rockwell tester can be arranged through Bowers Metrology.
