* Boge extends range of frequency controlled screw compressors - installing a frequency controlled screw compressor can provide one effective tool to assist in achieving reductions in compressed air related energy costs.
Boge launched the SLF series frequency controlled screw compressors at ComVac, available at 22kW and 30kW, with a 37kW available by the fourth quarter of 2005.
Boge frequency controlled screw compressors work strictly in accordance with the compressed air demand by producing the exact volume of compressed air at the pressure required.

Compressors feature frequency control
Frequency controlled models together with remote visualisation and control are key features of a new range of air cooled or water cooled oil free compressors from 45 to 355 kW.
Frequency control minimises idling time and evens out air demand fluctuations.
In the right application energy costs can therefore be reduced considerably.
The Boge SLF series combines a direct-coupled drive system with an integrated frequency invertor to provide the ultimate compressor for pressure control under variable output thus creating an energy saving solution.
As a direct coupled drive the frequency convertor assures the smoothest possible transition across the complete speed and range to maintain pressure and output perfectly.
An optional radial fan can significantly reduce sound pressure values - an important feature where noise is an issue at point of use.
The new SLF series is available in the pressure ranges of 8, 10 and 13 bar.
Output capacities range from 1.06 - 5.05m3/min, motor power 22/30kW options.
* Boge launches new compressor controller - operating at a higher pressure than is necessary is a major energy cost to any compressed air system.
This cost can be easily reduced and even eradicated by integrating a compressor controller into the compressed air system.
Boge Trinity, also launched at ComVac, demonstrates the advancements now being made in the design of compressor control.
Developed using cutting edge technology, Boge Trinity, provides a smarter more intuitive multiple compressor controller integrating digital and transducer technology.
Boge Trinity is a modern transducer operated changeover switch designed to control up to three compressors.
The unit is transducer controlled via a processor that can be easily programmed via a clear, back-lit LCD panel.
The system automatically sets itself to optimise pressure cascading - only the maximum pressure (Pmax) and the minimum pressure (Pmin) need to be entered into the controller.
Boge Trinity does the rest.
Introducing a compressor controller to a new or existing compressed air system can significantly reduce energy consumption as each compressors use is optimised in the most energy efficient way (kW/m3/min).
Boge Trinity can be built-in to a new Boge compressor or installed as a wall mounted option and will connect and operate most types of compressor. Request a free brochure from Boge Compressors ...
