Compressor still working after 56 years

Boge recently heard of a piston compressor, sold in 1949, is still being used and a complimentary service visit from the company concluded that 56 years on, the compressor is still going strong.

Boge recently heard of a 56 year old piston compressor that was still in use at Felix Mohn's Carpentry, based in the small village of Puffendorf in Germany Mohn Carpenters purchased the DZBK 6B Boge piston compressor in 1949 to provide compressed air for powering various tools in their workshop

A Boge Service Technician recently visited the carpentry workshop to provide a complimentary service.

The Technician reported that the piston was in good working order with no defects.

Felix Mohn of Mohn Carpenters commented: "Although this old piston compressor will not win any beauty awards, it is still highly appreciated for both its quality and dependability.

After the Boge Service Technician changed the oil and renewed the air filter it has been working as usual and we are proud to show it to our visitors." The Boge piston compressor was originally developed in 1925 primarily to meet the compressed air needs of vehicle workshops and petrol stations where compressed air was used to inflate tyres and operate lifting ramps.

As Boge's experience and knowledge in compressors grew so did the product range that now includes the award winning range of S Series screw compressors.

Piston compressors still remain a very important part of the Boge product portfolio where the slow speed cast pumps provide reliable compressed air up to 40 bar pressure. Request a free brochure from Boge Compressors ...
