Compressors offer more air, save energy
Boge said it has significantly improved the free air delivery of its 45 to 90kW oil free water cooled SO - W series of screw compressors and reduced energy consumption by 4%.
Precision moulder cuts energy costs by 67%
A precision plastics moulding company reported that a Boge frequency controlled screw compressor has brought compressed air energy cost savings of 67%/year.
After enjoying continued success in the UK market with the Boge CL series screw compressors - made with the smaller air user in mind - Boge has now launched a frequency controlled version.
The CLF series integrates the novel and proven Boge mono-block airend configuration.
The airend is not only extremely efficient but also features a special sound damping casting that makes the compressor one of the quietest on the market.
The inverter is built-in to an acoustic cabinet.
This compact design ensures a small footprint keeping the installation space required to a minimum.
The CLF series from Boge combines a direct coupled drive system with frequency control to provide the ultimate compressor for pressure control under variable output requirements.
Options include 8, 10 and 13 bar, which can be readily achieved by adjustment of the frequency.
Expensive idling times and motor switches are therefore avoided, said a Boge report to manufacturingtalk.com.
At the same time, a tighter pressure band can be maintained which also assists in reducing energy consumption.
The CLF is available as a free standing model or receiver mounted in the standard pressure of 8, 10 and 13 bar.
Output capacities range from 0.25-1.27m3/min, motor power is 7.5kW. Request a free brochure from Boge Compressors ...
