Drives provide ferequency converter
functions
Due to the consistent decoupling of performance and functions, the a drive series provides both hardware-based servo drive and frequency converter functions.
With more than 100 integrated technology functions, the Rexroth IndraDrive sets new standards for decentralised intelligence All the drive devices, with power outputs ranging between 1.5 and 120kW, use open interfaces

Variable speed pump drives save on energy
Variable speed hydraulic pump drives offer energy savings and noise reduction and two recently introduced systems can control pressure and flow on a machine.
Cylinder series covers wide performance spectrum
The new series of hydraulic cylinders from Rexroth has an innovative modular design.
Due to the consistent decoupling of performance and functions, the new drive series provides both hardware-based servo drive and frequency converter functions.
At the same time, Rexroth has significantly increased its range of direct drives, with newly developed high-speed motors, torque motors and linear motors.
In addition to a drive-integrated Motion Logic according to IEC 61131-3, IndraDrive offers the most advanced integrated safety functions for 'safe standstill' and 'safe motion'.

Modular, lighter valve terminal is extendable
A modular, lighter-weight valve terminal system, which has an impressive flow rate of up to 700 litres/min, can be extended up to 12 valves, one at a time.
Space saving rodless cylinders
The RTC series rodless cylinders from Bosch Rexroth employ an oval shape that allows for high loads and torques resulting in a space saving design, as opposed to the more common round piston.
This technology, which is certified according to EN-954-1, Category 3, permits the drive to satisfy safety regulations throughout Europe without additional hardware and without taking another detour over the control.
The basic software packages for servo drive operation already contain all required basic functions such as positioning batch processing, position control, speed control and torque control.
Standardised expansion packages include axis error correction, main spindle functions, axis synchronization, electronic camshaft gears and technology packages based on the integrated Motion Logic.
One of the new functions is the Productivity agent for Early fault detection for machine mechanics through intelligent drives.
To build-up an efficient system for preventive maintenance is not a complex challenge anymore.
It is reduced to the simplified use of intelligent drive functions.
IndraDrive supports all common command interfaces, such as SERCOS interface, PROFIBUS, PROFINET, CANopen, DeviceNet, analogue and parallel interfaces.
Further development of the DRIVETOP commissioning tool allows commissioning to be interactive and fast.
The auto-tuning function quickly adapts control parameters by automatically optimising the control loops.
In addition to a broad range of rotary motors, Rexroth provides high-performance motors with direct drive technology.
The latest developments are the Rexroth IndraDyn H high-speed synchronous motors, which were shown to the international public for the first time at the EMO 2003.
IndraDyn H motors provide the highest torque of their class, reaching speeds of 30,000 rev/min.
Due to the very wide range of constant output, the short run-up times and the low rotor temperature, these motors are suitable not only for use in motor spindles.
The novel cooling system, which is already enclosed within the motor, reduces the amount of work for the mechanical engineer and increases the cooling efficiency.
Rexroth IndraDyn T torque motors offer a maximum torque of up to 13700Nm at maximum speeds of up to 1200 rev/min and run with an extremely low torque ripple.
The new Rexroth IndraDyn L synchronous linear motors can be supplied in various sizes and lengths, for simple applications also with the field-proven standard encapsulation.
For high temperature stability requirements, the entire motor range is available with thermal encapsulation.
The motors are characterised by very high continuous and maximum forces and a very compact design, as well as a low force ripple.
Bosch Rexroth AG, a wholly owned subsidiary of Robert Bosch, Germany, achieved sales of EUR 3.7 billion in 2003 with 25,700 employees.
Under the brand name of Rexroth the company offers all relevant drive, control and motion technologies: from mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics through to electronics and the associated services.
The global player is a competent partner to around 500,000 customers in over 80 countries and an extensive supplier of components and systems for industrial and factory automation and mobile applications.
