Innovative mechatronic modules and systems are reducing costs for machine tools across the whole life cycle, from the initial concept right through to the retrofit.

With innovative mechatronic modules and system solutions Rexroth is reducing costs for machine tools across the whole life cycle, from the initial concept right through to the retrofit At EMO 2005, the world's leading metalworking trade fair, Rexroth presented ready-to-install subassemblies put together from different technologies

There is a new ultra-compact CNC control to complement the open system solutions from the drive and control specialist.

Furthermore, Rexroth offered support to machine manufacturers and users with an extensive range of services.

With its ultra-compact IndraMotion MTXcompact, Rexroth introduced at EMO a sophisticated controller-based CNC control system for up to 8 axes in two channels.

The drive and control manufacturer is thus extending its open IndraMotion family with an economic solution for small CNC machines, network control systems in transfer machines as well as handling modules.

At the same time the pioneer of decentralised automation technology is increasing the efficiency and modularity of modern machine concepts by means of mechatronic functional units.

Rexroth achieves this by combining tried-and-tested standard components to form ready-to-install subassemblies.

Hydraulics, electric drive technology and mechanics are all combined in the electrohydraulic feed axis via mechanical clamping.

The fieldbus-compatible module reduces the number of interfaces and is able to position with an accuracy to the micron yet with high dynamics.

With the Integrated Measuring System for ball rail guides Rexroth now supplies all sensors in Protection Class IP 67, which takes into consideration the harsh manufacturing environment of machine tools.

Moreover, Rexroth has further optimised its ball rail systems, now offering for all precision types a processing behavior that has been markedly improved.

The complete machine tool spectrum covers hydraulic circuit solutions and open loop control systems for linking clamping and handling functions.

The machine manufacturer can match basic circuits to his own requirements and receive systems that are ready-to-install.

IndraDrive, the Rexroth drive generation, is setting standards for electrically-driven motion sequences, offering over a hundred different technology functions.

Integrated safety technology that does not require additional hardware, combined with a wide range of drives with rotating motors and direct drive technology, all open up new levels of freedom in the design of precision application-specific systems.

With the workpiece and toolchanger linear rotary unit Rexroth is increasing productivity by reducing machine downtime.

The compact, integrated direct drive technology undertakes the movements with precision and with extremely high dynamic response under the most exacting conditions.

A wide range of pneumatic components and modules, as well as system solutions for machine linkage, rounds off the program.

Rexroth also supports machine tool manufacturers and users with virtual engineering software products and services.

Based on unique applications experience in all relevant drive and control technologies, Rexroth produces realistic simulations that accelerate the development process to a considerable extent.

IndraWorks, the Rexroth engineering tool based on.net-technology, is ideally suited to the integration of third-party modules, simplifying the whole project design, commissioning and diagnostics processes.

With an extensive, worldwide service network Rexroth is always there to assist the user throughout the complete service life of the system.
