BridgeHead signs global resale agreement
BridgeHead Software links with Quest to provide single source for protected data lifecycle management of e-mail and file archives.
BridgeHead Software has announced the signing of a global resale agreement with Quest Software, enabling Quest and its partners to resell BridgeHead's HT FileStore and other components of the company's Integrated Storage Management (ISM) suite of products As a result of this agreement, Quest customers and channel partners will now have access to a fully integrated e-mail and file archiving solution capable of automatically archiving all types of user data, supported by a powerful multi-media data repository manager

In anticipation of this agreement, the companies worked together to technically integrate Quest's Archive Manager with BridgeHead's HT FileStore file archiving and repository management to create a combined solution that offers both file and e-mail archiving using a unified metadata/content database and interface.
The result is a robust solution for security, compliance and data volume management which addresses all end user data and ensures that e-mail and file archives are both searchable and readily available.
The solution satisfies enterprise-level needs for compliant data retention, business continuance and disaster recovery.

Independent research highlights the converging demand for e-mail and file archiving solutions as well as sophisticated repository management.
The ILM Audit 2006, recently conducted on behalf of BridgeHead, shows a clear rise in interest for email and file archiving products over the coming 12 months.
Over half of respondents are considering investment in email archiving (up 8% in the UK and 3% in the US) and there has been a 12% increase in the number considering file archiving (55% in the UK and 67% in the US).
Response rates were highest in the health, government and finance segments where the combined burden of regulatory compliance and massive growth of data have been most acute.
