Britannia Lift has installed a scissor type goods lift for the manufacturer of some of the worlds most famous drink brands at the company's packaging plant at Runcorn in Cheshire.

The scissor lift, which has a 1250mm x 1200mm platform and 2000kg lifting capacity, is used to raise rows of beer can lids, which are stacked in layers then transferred to the canning line.

Britannia Sales Engineer, Ken Oldfield, commented: "The Lift was manufactured in Stainless Steel to suit Hose down situations, and the Controls were manufactured with a high level of water protection.

Our control equipment in the base was also supplied with a special cover to give added protection from water jets.

"This is not the first lift we have supplied to this customer and it is very satisfying when people come back to us for more business," commented Britannia Lift Technical Director, John Patey.

"We believe this clearly shows that not only are our products extremely well engineered but also supported by an exemplary after sales service.
