Reprorubber is an exotic, metrology-grade rubber, which is self-curing in minutes and creates a virtually perfect replica casting of internal and external forms.
The material is non-toxic, easy to use, up to 100 times faster than RTV silicones and requires no release agent.
Advantages over traditional, hard-copy replicas include its ease of removal, even if there are under cuts or grooves, easy cross sectioning, with a knife or razor, and exact surface finish replication, with excellent optical properties.
Impressions can be made of all metals, all plastics, rubber, paper or cardboard items, ceramic and glass items as well as non metal items.
The material is available in two viscosities: as Thin Pour liquid, for internal shape applications, or as Quicksetting Putty, which is excellent for external shapes.
Thin Pour is used for situations where a liquid will completely fill the cavity without voids, the entire process takes 20 minutes and the final colour of the casting is light green.
To use the Quicksetting Putty, two equal-sized balls of catalyst putty and base putty are kneaded together and then spread firmly over the master item.
The entire process takes only 14 minutes from start to finish and the finished item is coloured pale blue.
Dispensing systems can be purchased for each product and trial sized kits are also available.
Brauer Measuretek MD, Martyn Gill, explains, "In selecting overseas partners, we are always looking for companies who share our own ethos of innovation and dedication to quality and customer service.
In Flexbar we have found just such a company.
We are therefore delighted to have reached a reciprocal agreement, whereby we are able to offer Flexbar's extensive range of products to the UK market and Flexbar, in its turn, is offering Brauer Measuretek's solutions in the USA.".
