Collect visual/functional defect inspection data
A simple, touch screen data collection interface allows operators to quickly and easily record and report defect information and feed it in real time to production personnel.
Because measurements are taken virtually (extracted from a digitized surface profile) there are no physical limitations to the measurements.
LaserGauge provides a single solution to inspection requirements in automotive, aerospace, manufacturing and other precision-driven assembly industries.
The LaserGauge system consists of a portable, battery-powered controller and a hand-held sensor and has the capability of running inspection routines or performing single-point measurements.
The Series 1100 controller provides full colour graphics capability and colour-coded data presentation of in-spec and out-of-spec conditions.
A bitmap of the part being inspected can be displayed on the screen to guide the operator through the inspection routine.
The Series 4000 controller is smaller and lighter and provides textual feedback only, but with all the same sequencing and stand-alone capabilities as the Series 11-00 while its size makes it ideally suited for inspections on a moving assembly line.
The LaserGauge system is already widely used in the USA and Canada, where some automotive manufacturers have as many as four systems on different assembly lines.
