Collect visual/functional defect inspection data
A simple, touch screen data collection interface allows operators to quickly and easily record and report defect information and feed it in real time to production personnel.
In these situations the Inspect system enables users to seamlessly attach data gathered during visual inspections into the overall quality system, generating automatic reports, tracking defects and analysing issue areas.
The system is template driven - with templates created to suit each customer, and uses an SQL relational database to provide maximum power and flexibility.
The user interface has been designed specifically for users with little or no computer knowledge, and incorporates photographs, diagrams and drop-down lists for easy data input on a touch screen data entry system either on a hand-held unit or a stationary PC.
The portable units can transmit information via RF (radio frequency) to strategically placed antennae which transmit the information to the Inspect database.
The Data Collect Module uses images and 'button based' functional inspection screens while the Reporting Module allows users to view real-time quality data in several chart types with Microsoft Excel spreadsheet formatting.
Browser based reporting means that data can be accessed by anyone with a standard secure internet connection.
The Event Service Module instantly informs staff of the current state of quality throughout the production facility and off-site - with a messaging service that conveys information via pagers, email, fax and static displays.
The Costing Module tracks repair costs, supplier quality, replacement parts, repair time, material, supply and labour costs.
