The Vario high precision universal caliper gauge is claimed to be the first designed specifically for workshop use.
It can be quickly reset to different measuring bases and can therefore be used for a very wide variety of measuring tasks.
It is supplied with universal mounting supports and two 40mm long 'measuring pins' with integrated ruby ball-tipped contact feelers (longer pins can be used if required).
By removing the measuring pins the calliper gauge can be used as a normal workshop calliper gauge.
In addition to normal gauging, the Vario gauges can also undertake a number of other measuring tasks using additional, standard equipment, for example, measuring jaws for internal and keyway measuring, tapered measuring insert for measuring hole clearances.
For very special measuring tasks bespoke measuring elements or jaws can be manufactured.
PAV Vario depth gauges offer a resolution of 0.01mm, repeatability of 0.01mm and have many advantages including horizontal digital readout, double prismatic guide, quick-lock for bridge measurement, a solid base and a variety of 'feelers', as well as offering digital features such as a 'HOLD' function, mm/inch conversion and Reverse function - to change the sign from + to -.
Using the new quick fastener fitting it is a single-handed job to change the infinitely adjustable measuring bridge.
In addition to the standard feelers optional, special feelers are offered for special measuring tasks and furthermore all standard feelers will fit.
